CPP Fall 2014 Social Media Intern

Are you … obsessed with social media? Interested in making the world a better place? Excited to learn how to use digital tools for marketing? A self-starter?


CleanPowerPerks, the web-based clean energy marketing program that rewards people + businesses for consciously choosing clean power, seeks an enthusiastic social media intern (current student: undergrad or graduate) for fall 2014.


The CPP Social Media Intern will work alongside our Founder/CEO daily and drive social media marketing efforts for the CleanPowerPerks program. You will learn how to utilize these tools to achieve results and measure success towards business objectives. This experience will prepare you for a job as a social media marketer, community manager or digital marketer.

You will manage CPP’s social media accounts on a regular basis, including such tasks as: scheduling posts, executing and improving the social media strategy, reporting important metrics, managing the editorial calendar and generating content.

Additional tasks may include: writing, editing, marketing strategy, marketing execution, internet research, fielding member inquiries, press outreach, reporting.

About You

This internship is for you if you care about the greater good and are eager to use social media to achieve that end. You are personally active on social media and current on the latest digital tools. You care about crafting the right message for the right audience and have lots of ideas for creating content. You take pride in your work and aren’t afraid to ask questions. You are a good communicator (but don’t talk too much or write super lengthy emails!). You are eager to learn. You don’t mind working alone. You consider yourself to be an idea person. You have a positive outlook. You’re pleasant to be around and would describe yourself as unique. You are detail-oriented and enjoy working. You have great follow-through. You are structured and organized. You are excited to build something new and be a part of getting CleanPowerPerks off the ground.

And most importantly, you are excited about clean energy, choose to support responsible brands and care about a sustainable future.

Experience with HubSpot, pervious marketing experience, graphic design skills, and/or website development/management expertise a major plus.


We will gladly work with your college or university and complete the necessary paperwork to provide course credit (undergrad or graduate) for your CPP work. This apprenticeship is unpaid. We offer a flexible schedule, mentoring, sincere appreciation + free CleanPowerPerks membership!
